Premium Art Outlet sponsored a portrait demonstration by renowned artist, John Kilroy.
John painted an oil portrait from a model chosen from the audience.
The lucky sitter Andrea, who modeled got to keep the finished portrait.

The entire demo process takes about 90 minutes and
John encourages questions and continuously explains his process of painting.
His rapport with the audience and the model makes everyone feel comfortable.
He is not satisfied to create a perfect likeness, his goal is to capture the soul of the sitter,to tell the viewer something more about the person.
John Kilroy has been a professional exhibiting fine artist for over 30 years and a unique progressive teacher of
drawing, painting, design and sculpture for 19 years. He is a very accomplished painter in all mediums.
John is an "alla prima" painter, meaning that he paints “all at once” making every brushstroke count, with no underpainting, no preliminary sketches, no unnecessary painting moves, building the painting with one successive correct move after another.
