French easel or good pouchade box, standard painting gear (some easels are available at the studio)
Brushes:  #2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 Flats
Palette Knife 3"
Odorless Mineral Spirits (Gamsol)
Canvas board, Stretched canvas, Acrylic-gessoed board.  
You will need at least 2 panels a day:
    8x10, 9x12, 11x14, 12x16, 16x20 range
Sketchpad, pens, vine charcoal, pencils or whatever you wish to draw with
Paper Towels
Palette
Thinner Cup

and whatever else you wish to draw with

For Painting:
Standard palette and gear

Project Media for home: This class is open to oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, alkyd, gouache, which the students will use only at home.


PASTEL CLASS MATERIALS

Minimum 12-color soft chalk pastel set, 24-36 colors is preferred
(Rembrandt or Sennelier are the better but more expensive choices, while Alphacolor is an adequate and less expensive brand)

4 sheets of pastel paper each class
(Traditionally, people use richly colored pastel or charcoal papers such as Canson Mi Tiennes, Ingres charcoal paper, or Strathmore. Hot or cold pressed watercolor paper or toned paper.) 
Optional: Other more Exotic surfaces with special coatings like sand paper, pumice or special pastel boards

Drawing Board
Kneaded Eraser
Paintbrushes
Rags or paper towels
Masking or drafting tape
Workable Fixative or unscented hair spray
Bring scrap paper of the same color as the paper you work on to test your sticks.
Optional:  Alcohol or Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits) small container
